Princess for the Day

While back in Ohio over Christmas break my good friend Kate and I took her girls, Matty and Lydia, and my Samantha to the Princess Party at the local library. The girls had a blast being crowned princess for the day, wearing their own costumes (the only thing missing was diamond pendants), listening to princess stories, learning how to curtsy and of course making their own wands. Now if only I had remembered my costume I could have been princess for the day too.

Lydia had to show off her wand too.

Conversations With A Three-Year-Old

Me: Sami what do you want to be when you grow up?

Sami: A princess.

Me: Well since your dad and mom are not the king and queen you will have to marry a prince, and sweetie I do not think that is going to happen. Plus being a princess isn't a very dependable job.

Sami: Well mommy if I can't be a princess I will just be a singer. That's 'pendable.

Me: ((groan))

Sometimes I wonder if Sami has the same DNA as my other two kids.
