Tonight was the first baseball and softball game of the season. Of course both kids had games at the same time. So Matt and I did some major flip flopping back and forth.
Chris has really improved since last year. I think his confidence in himself has grown and that has led him to be a better ball player. Tonight he played 3rd base, short stop and right field and hit twice and struck out once. His age group is machine pitch so it isn't super exciting, but it is still fun to watch.
Emily did awesome. In fact she helped win the game. As a starter pitcher (she pitched her two alloted innings) she struck out five people and walked only three. Then in the 4th inning the game was tied –– 5 to 5. Two outs. A high fly ball came between third and short stop. Emily, who was playing third, rushed over and caught it. We had last bats, scored a run, game over. I can't wait to see how she progresses over the season.

Alexis,
Congratulations for winning the FLAVORiT contest from Janice at 5 Minutes for Mom. I am Kenny and I am the developer of the product and it works great. I have been reading your blog for the past week or so and think you do a really great job and are a really great person. If you ever have any trouble with medicine and your kids let me know and I will be glad to help you out. I developed FLAVORx because my youngest daughter Hadley was born with a seizure disorder and cerebral palsy and had to take really bad tasting medications that she couldn't tolerate, so being a pharmacist I started to devise a way to make her medication more palatable without interfering with the efficacy of the medication. Hadley is now 15 and only walks a little and talks a little but she is one of the happiest kids I have ever seen. Even after all of the tough things like surgeries, therapy, doctor's appointments, etc. that she has to endure. I wanted to make her life a little easier by helping her with her medication woes, so Necessity really is the mother of invention.
Let me know if you ever need any help...
