I am a child of the 80s. So yes that means I was a NKOTB groupie. For all you other NKOTB Fan Club members how exciting is this rumor: They are doing a reunion tour! **cheers**Applause** **Lots of jumping up and down**
Per People magazine:
After months of speculation and rumor, the Kids are coming back. A well-placed source tells PEOPLE exclusively that New Kids On The Block are indeed getting back together. The band's Web site, www.nkotb.com, which had been dormant, is now back up and running in anticipation of the official announcement, which the source says will be made in the next few weeks. The site currently features a television graphic with a fuzzy, flickering photos of NKOTB in their heyday, and a link inviting fans to sign up for info. The boy band, which made legions of tweens swoon in the early '90s, selling more than 50 million albums, became a worldwide phenomenon before calling it quits in 1994.
Eighteen years later, they're still "Hangin' Tough." The oldest "Kid," Jonathan Knight, now a real estate developer, will turn 40 later this year. Since the band's demise, former members Donnie Wahlberg, 38, and Joey McIntyre, 35, have seen acting success, while Danny Wood, 38, has worked as a music producer and Knight's brother, Jordan, 37, has continued to record.
Yes I am a dork and signed up for exclusive breaking news information. And yes, I seriously would go see a reunion concert. Anyone want to join me? I promise not to throw any women's lingerie.
Off to listen to my old tapes... yes I still have them in the storage room.

OMG! This is HUGE! Keep me posted!!!!
Let me know when tickets go on sale!!!!
I saw that last week on VH1! I got excited then. I'm glad Neil wasn't here with me. He would have died to have seen me get so excited!
That photo really makes me laugh. We are probably close to the same age, because I remember vividly the mania that was NKOTB. My favorite was Jordan.
My college roommate and I used to put their Christmas album on our answering machine as a joke. Sadly I still remember all the lyrics.
By the way, I'm a first time visitor, and I was just thinking we could be friends in real life until I read about your new camera, and now I am just eaten up with jealousy, so that ends that. I'll still come back, though, just to envy all of your fabulous pictures.
I had the huge door-sized poster of Jordan. You have to get one of those huge buttons of the New Kids to wear to the concert! And a denim jacket and ripped jeans. Grab some on ebay! And do your bangs up high with lots of hairspray. Gotta go all out for that concert! I was a NKOTB groupie too. :)
Oh my. I had posters of them all over my bedroom. I saw them in concert. My friends and I did a lip sync at school to The Right Stuff. I have the video. Oh, how embarrassing!
I admit, I'm still giggling. I totally remember them. I wasn't a big enough fan to go to a reunion concert, but think it would probably be a hoot. ;)
All right, so I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was excited to hear this too!
The very first concert I ever went to was NKOTB! And, man, was that exciting!! :)
Keep us all updated!
My sister and I LOVED NKOTB!! We would tape interviews off Disney Channel and then watch them over and over again!:) I think we still have that tape somewhere! :)
Seeing Jordan's picture on your blog makes me want to die laughing that I thought he was SO hot! How funny. I want to see what they look like now so I can see if I still think he's hot. :) Ha ha! Anyway, you come up to Chicago when they have their concert their (and they'd better) and I will SO meet you there. Ha! That's an awfully long trip to see NKOTB. I bet they'll have a concert a little closer to you. :)
OMG I once went to a concert and Tiffany opened for them...YIKES
