10 Years Ago Today
I gave birth to the most amazing little boy. Okay so he isn't so little anymore, but he will always be my little boy.

Look Who's 5!
Sami! I cannot believe she is five. Some days it seems like yesterday she was waking me up every hour to eat (she never slept through the night until she was over 2. Can we stay I wanted to ram my head into a wall?) and we were wondering if she would ever crawl and other days I can barely remember her as a baby. It is amazing how much she has changed in 5 years.
Five is a big birthday. Goodbye toddlerhood and preschool days and hello kindergarten. Soon she will be losing her first tooth. With each step she will be needing me less and leaning upon her own knowledge and understanding.
The past five years have been exciting and yet, at times, bittersweet. I can't see where the future takes us. With Sami, anything is possible.
Happy 5th birthday Sami. We love you!

Growing Up
Over the past few weeks Samantha has suddenly turned from a "toddler/preschooler" to a "little girl". She is using big words when she talks and her sentences actually make sense most of the time. She came home from preschool with her name written on her paper, in her own handwriting. Sure it says S-A-M-I, but hey I'll take that. She likes to watch infomercials and tell me about them. Her latest was all about a popup blocker . Her playing has become much more complex, both with other kids and when by herself, and she has hit the "must change my clothes every 5 minutes" phase. Even her Christmas list is more grown up: Cookie dough (wth?), music CDs, DVDs, clothes, Polly Pockets, Little Pet Shop, Webkinz and a swing set.
Sami looks older now too. Gone is the "baby/toddler" look. Look at this ponytail!

Where did my baby go?
