Lately I feel like I am driving through the circus near our town. For some crazy reason people seem to think dressing someone in a goofy suit and sticking them out by the street will encourage people to eat at their establishment.
Just today I saw the Chick-Fil-A "Cow", the Arby's "Hand" and some hot dog cart's Giant "Weiner" all standing by the road waving to potential patrons. Did it make me want to stop and eat at any of those places? No way. I tell you what if Ronald and "The King" start walking the streets I am out of here. Talk about scary.
I am really curious to see marketing stats on this type of method. Call me crzy, but unless you are a prostitute or some youth group having a car wash, I highly doubt standing on the corner really does much for business.
Welcome to North Carolina.
