Beach Madness

Today Emily had a "fun" meet down in Wilmington, NC. She has been moved up to a level 6 gymnast and today was her first meet. I am so proud of her. She did so well, especially since she has only been moved up for 6 weeks. Come the next competitive season in September, she is going to totally rock.

So afterwards we decided to hop on over to the beach for a stroll. It was 70 degrees, but it was really windy so it put a nip in the air. It got me excited to know that in only a months time we will be able to be sitting on the beach getting some rays. And it reinforced how blessed we are and how blessed we have been with this move. I never imagined I would live less than 2 hours from the beach.

Even though it was only March and windy, there were many people out walking, sitting and just enjoying the scenery, goofing off, flying kites, and even a few were surfing (okay I thought they were nuts since the water was freezing). Afterwards we went to a restaurant right on the inter coastal where we could enjoy watching the water. It was a wonderful, memory filled, day.

Looks glorious! A much better day than what I had here dusting and packing more boxes! And I am sure this will make you feel even more blessed - it snowed here today - all day.

I love Wilmington! We actually live not terribly far from there. I think that is wonderful that your daughter has moved up and is doing well in gymnastics. I hope you guys had fun.

Looks like it was a great day. Even though the move took you oh so far away from me, I am glad this has been the right choice for your family. (hugs)
