Afternoon on the Water

Today was opening boating day. Well maybe not technically, but it was such an awesome day today (like 85 degrees) that I think every boat owner in the Raleigh area decided to test the waters today.

Two years ago Matt and I decided to bite the bullet and buy a boat. It is a 1986 Celebrity ski boat. It is old, but it was a great deal and perfect for first time owners. We have decided to start looking to upgrade to a different boat. So this week our boat will get a for sale sign on it (sniff sniff) and we have an appointment to see a boat on Tuesday night. We are wanting to downsize a bit (our boat is 22 feet) and hoping to find a good 18 foot boat so we can park it in the garage in the winter. Plus it will be easier for me to maneuver with the trailer. The one we are seeing Tuesday night looks awesome. We are just trying to determine exactly what we are needing to fit our family. I secretly am hoping this one pans out as I hate the idea of boat shopping and I was planning on buying Matt a wake board for his birthday on Friday and can't really do that when you no longer have a boat to use it with.

It was funny taking Sam on the boat today. I don't think she remembers the boat much from last year so it was like taking her to Disney for the first time.

I love having a boat. It is great for the family and something we really enjoy. Hopefully we can have many more boating memories.

Ahh the boat. Can't believe your thinking of trading up/or down I should say haha. It seems like just last year we spent the day cleaning and scrubbing it out and polishing it up to look beautiful
sniff sniff where does the time go?

It looks like you guys had a great day to add to the happy memory book.

I grew up in a family of boat lovers. I have so many memories from being out on the water! We will own a boat someday also! Good luck with the boat shopping!

Omgosh, Chris's hair is so long! Looks like great fun. I hope we can get a boat again someday. Well, techinically we do have one, but we kinda sorta need something to pull the darn thing! Have the skiis, life jackets, the tubes, we just need the truck! lol One day. One thing at a time, right? Great pictures, as always. me

How fun! Too bad we're not really in the best place for boating.

And look at you! Wow! 3 kids (?) and a bod like that? What gives?!?
