He's Going Home

And no I don't mean Chris Daughtry. Sanjaya was sent home tonight on American Idol –– finally.

I have to admit I cheered along with the audience when his name was called. But he is only 17. He is just a kid. When I saw him crying I felt bad. I still think he deserved to go home weeks ago, but maybe the way he went home could have been better.

I feel sorry for him. What's the kid to do? That stupid website didn't only make a mockery of this competition, but it made a mockery of him. That's just sad.

I'm afraid I have to say I don't feel sorry for him. And the website made a mockery of him, but he did a good job of mocking himself too. He didn't really SING except for last week, Latin week, and the rest of the time it seemed like a big joke for him when the others tried so damn hard to stay there... Gina for one. Very sad.

But I have to say, I, for one, am glad he's gone.

I believe I heard cheers around the world when they said his name. I felt more sorry for Lakisha. I'm sure she was feeling pretty scared after weeks of Sanjaya staying.

I'm just so glad its over. Too bad they continued to build him up and the poor kid just doesn't have it :(

I really felt bad for him too. He couldn't help the publicity that surrounded him. What was he suppose to do? The voting was beyond his control. And you are right...he is just a kid. At least he didn't pose nude on the internet like some of the other contestants. (Well, let's hope not anyway!)

As soon as I heard he was gone, I knew you'd be ecstatic! I'm glad to hear you have a heart though. ;) It sounds like they never should have let him go to Hollywood in the first place.

I cheered too and then felt bad when he cried. Poor guy! But it's been long past his time to go.

i think it dawned on him when his name was called that how far he had gotten was because of a sad unfair voting practice by many just wanting to make a mockery of him. i feel bad for him and wanted to cry with him last night. (but i'm still also glad he's gone . . .)
