Wordless Wednesday : Hug Across The Generations

I know this is supposed to be Wordless Wednesday, but I just had to explain the picture. This is my great Aunt, who has been basically a grandma to me my whole life. My grandma, her sister, died when I was 4, so she stepped in and filled my Grandma Vivian's shoes. She lives in Indianapolis and is the reason I agreed to go to Indy a few weeks back. It warmed my heart watching Sami hug Aunt Pauline.

Sammi is so loving anyway, but this pic is the best! What memories she will have.

So glad you got to visit with your "grandma". :)

This picture is really touching. I only wish my kids could have known their great-grandmothers (even tho I know she isn't technically your g'ma, but ykwim). My dear great-aunt who is 3-1/2 hours away, they do know, and I'm so thankful for that because she is so much like my grandma. I just wish they got to see her more often.

That is so precious! It reminds me of my great grandma. I wasn't super close to her, but enough that I still miss her.
