We used to go cut down our own Christmas tree, but to do that here we would have to head to the mountains. So instead, this past weekend we went to the farmers market to pick out the perfect tree. (which btw are brought over from the mountains)
The Farmers Market is a reason enough to come visit here. It is open everyday and they have some of the best produce, plants, baked goods and other items around. They always have seasonal items and for great prices. They also have a kick butt restaurant and fish market (well Matt and Emily love the fish market).
So we rolled up the tonneau cover and took the perfect tree home and spent the evening decorating. We even splurged this year and decided to retire the cranberry theme that we started with 12 years ago and bought blue and gold decorations. I would have preferred blue and silver, however we could not find an angel tree topper that we liked that would have matched with silver, so we kept our old gold one.
I think Sam had the most fun of anyone. She really is into Christmas this year. It is too cute.
And of course my favorite decoration on the tree.
I posted more pictures from our tree decorating evening and our Christmas decorations here. Enjoy!

Your tree is so pretty. And not brown like mine haha
Deborah:
It has been high 70s and low 80s since last Saturday. Colder starting this weekend in the 50s and 60s.
Looks great!
And lucky you with all that warm weather! I wish that were us right now! Enjoy it! :)
Those are great pictures. :)
Looks like y'all had fun! How different, to pick out a tree in short sleeves. You know that isn't happening in IL! :)
I like the pic of you and Chris. Noah was so into Christmas this year, too. I love this age :)
Glad you got a real tree. There's nothing like it :)
