Dressing Up the Room

Today I did my part in helping support the economy. I went shopping!

Originally I had planned on keeping the same bedding set that we have in our bedroom. But the more I think about our bedroom (and house in general) the more I think we need color. With all white walls and all cream/tan curtains color is going to be a must.

After looking at many different places online I had settled on a few sets at Kohls. They all were pretty conservative but had color. I looked at them this morning and while I liked them all, they didn't say "House in Japan" to me. But then I saw one particular set, and while it screamed "Japan", it is so different than anything I have ever bought. So I cornered some poor woman who was looking at bedding accessories for her grandchild's room and asked her opinion. She said without a doubt to go with the Tea Tree Bedding by Apt. 9. Honestly she should work for Kohls because she is like a walking promotional products saleswoman. Not only did I buy the comforter set, but a coverlet (she said my bed would look like a hotel room!), new sheet set, shams and a decorative pillow. And of course I had to buy matching towels for the bathroom. Thank goodness for a 20 percent off coupon.

And bigger bonus? This set is reversible. Two sets for the price of one.

So does this say "Japan" or what?

All the set and its different accessories.

The coverlet showing.

It looks fresh and inviting. And if you care, green (with some red) is excellent Feng Shui for the master bedroom. Well done!

I am getting bored w/my bedrom set also, but since I am NOT moving anytime in the next century (we have moved 3 times to 3 different states) I will have to get busy remaking my pillows.

I love it and I especially love that you found a random stranger to shop with! I always shop alone and wish I had help making decisions.
