Next Door Fun

Today turned out to be a very good day. I was supposed to go with our neighbor and her 4 year old son to the zoo today. But with the chance of rain we decided to postpone for another week. I almost opted to stay in my PJs all day and be lazy, but instead we went to McDonald's playland and let the kids play. Before we knew it we had been there for two hours. So we went back to her house and talked all afternoon.

It was amazing how easy the conversation flowed, from our kids (she has a daughter Em's age) to our husbands, God, and just living here. Since Matt is out of town she invited us to stay for dinner and it was nice having someplace to eat. It reminded me of all the times Jamie had me over for dinner when Matt traveled. Who would have thought that I would have found a new friend in the 40 year old lady down the street. But I did. And I am excited. The only problem I see is that she has an obsession with Sawyer from Lost and didn't take to lightly when I told her he was already mine.
