It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Today Sam and I went to a local pumpkin patch with playgroup. Now cheapass me had a heart attack when I found out the cost of pumpkin patches in the area. They range from $10-$12 PER PERSON, regardless of the age over 2. I about crapped when we had to pay $3 in Illinois. That was a steal. We did get a free pumpkin each, but still. Next year I am considering turning our backyard into a pumpkin patch and charging $2. I think people would jump at that bargain price.

Regardless of the mere fortune I had to pay, and it being as cold as what it usually is here in Januray, Sam had a blast. It was worth it in the end watching her run around with her new friends, climb the hay mountain, taking a hay ride, picking cotton (that part was pretty cool) and picking out her pumpkin. Afterwards we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and for the kids to wear themselves out totally before heading home. Lucky for me, I bet Sam is the only child who did not go home and nap.

Here are just a few pictures from the day. I didn't realize until looking at these picture just how big my little girl is getting.

Those are great pictures!

I especially love the look on Sam's face in the second one. Too funny!
