We are finally back in North Carolina, after a long drive home. (It wouldn't have been as long if we had noticed Matt took the wrong turn before we were half way to Roanoke Virginia) Now I just have a week's worth of clothes, presents and other items to put away and I can relax.
Last night we spent New Year's Eve back in Ohio at our friend's Steve & Jess's house for the annual New Year's Eve Bash. We had such a blast hanging out, drinking, eatting, playing board games, cards and Poker (which Matt won!!) and doing a white elephant gift exchange. Matt got a silly plastic chicken that boks and lays eggs in the exchange. Needless to say the thing drove us crazy on the drive home because it has no off switch.
It is so fun to get together with people we have been friend's with since college and don't get to see often because most of us live in different areas. It's hard to believe that we all have kids now. Ten years ago we were the only ones with kids.
