Today Sam and her new little friend Jack went to the zoo. It was a beautiful 72 degree day and we had a blast. Since I bought a family membership I anticipate many more fun trips ( the pass even works at the aquariums on the coast!).
My daughter is a wee bit of a flirt.
These baboons did things that I never wish to see again. They are nasty creatures.

I forgot to turn my flash off, but I love gorillas.
This polar bear was so cute that we spent about 20 minutes watching him play with this ball, some rope, a tire and a barrel. Way cool.
By the end of the day they were both so tired they couldn't walk anymore. This is them taking a rest while we waited for the shuttle back to the car.

I love the zoo! Unfortunately here in Iowa, I have to wait another month or two for the zoo to even open. I wonder what they do with the animals during the winter...? Just a thought.
