Fun in the Sun

Lately I feel like I am a mouse running on a wheel for piece of cheese, but unable to catch it so I keep running. End of the school year is always busy. Field trips, end of the year testing, breakfasts and special lunches, clearing out the classrooms, graduation... add to that PTA meetings, Booster Club meetings, gymnastics 4 days a week, baseball, softball, Matt traveling and having extra meetings, and it is no wonder I feel like I am constantly going these days. I also have been watching my neighbor's four-year-old and nine-year-old for the past 5 days while their parents have been out of town to a California bed and breakfast. And looking ahead to the summer I don't see much of a slowdown between the kids, practices, trips planned and two new projects I was sent an email about today.

Matt was out of town over the weekend, so Shannon decided to drive over from South Carolina to go with me and my small pack of children to the beach on Sunday. It was nice to actually sit and enjoy the weather for a day, even if I did read only 5 pages of my book. I am so blessed to live close enough to the beach for day trips.

Sam loves the beach.
Emily and Madison (my neighbor's daughter)
Chris hitting the waves.
Sam and Jack (mu neighbor's son) testing the water.
Chris and Jack pose for the camera.
Sam and David (Shannon's son) ready to swim.
Shannon and I take time to "say cheese"
Emily doing what she does everywhere we go –– gymnastics!

Wishing I was on that beach. Looks like you had so much fun! It's still at least a month away from the water around here being warm enough to swim in. I can't wait!

Beach photos are often hard to take. Yours are great.
