I have started really liking my house. I know that sounds strange, but for those who have moved you know what I mean. There is this adjustment period that you have when first moving into a new home. You keep comparing it to your previous house, and sometimes it just doesn't compare in your eyes.
But then something happens and your feelings change. You start to think of things that helps make your home "yours". For me I think it was my garden. I haven't had a garden since we lived in DeKalb over 5 years ago, and I really wanted one. I planted 8 tomato and 5 pepper plants last month and am amazed at how well they are doing. It was then that something clicked and I stopped being so stubborn and told Matt "I really am liking the house here."
So I have decided to bite the bullet and not only paint the walls come September (our builder said to wait until after our 1 year inspection and repairs) but I am going to order an Address Plaque. How much more dedicated can you get than an address plaque? Now the question is, which one to get.

That is definitely a huge step for you, miss. Does this mean no Peoria??
It's Matt Val. Who knows. I am just happy being happy for as long as we are here. I can honestly say I'm not too excited about Illinois weather anymore. :)
from the pictures I have seen, your house looks beautiful. I'm glad you are settling in well.
Oooh- painting the walls! I hate to paint, but love the end result!!!
I am glad to hear that you are feeling at home!!!
Apparently, the frogs are too! :)
Oh! That's the part I HATE about rentals. They NEVER become home. :( I'm about ready to say forget it and tell Chris to BEG for his old job back. I miss having a house to call my own.
Glad you're getting that homey feeling!!!! I just kind of, a little tiny bit, started feeling that here in Florida, but looks like we're moving ths fall.
