One perk to all the traveling Matt does for work is the airline miles. So we decided to take advantage and last night we booked a trip for our big 10th anniversary in April.
So where are we going you ask? Disney? Nope!
The Grand Canyon? Nope!
How about Paris or even Europe? While we originally planned on a trip across Spain, Italy and France, the lukewarm weather made us rethink that idea.
Tired of guessing yet? I'll give you a hint. I am looking forward to beaches, riding on an elephant (yes you read that right an elephant!!) and eating lots of rice.
We are going to Southeast Asia!
We leave April 4 and fly into Singapore and come back on April 13. We are thinking of spending a day or two in Singapore then most likely heading to Phuket, Thailand. Of course who knows where we will end up or how many stops we will make along the way once I start really researching and planning (which of course I am sure will start today!) There are so many possibilities with the cheap flights between SE Asia countries and even Australia, trains and buses.
Anyone been to this part of the world before? Matt has gone for work, but somehow I don't think going through the jungle and peeing in a hole in the ground is on my list of "to-dos" this trip so his experience won't be much help. I'd love some travel suggestions. In the meantime, Frommers here I come!
